Reebok is hard at work on its upcoming June 2022 releases, and its partnership with highly admired designer label Eames Office has been getting a lot of attention lately. The shoemaker’s latest collection will be based solely on the iconic designs and architectural works of the late Charles and Ray Eames, the founders of the Eames Office.
The Reebok X Eames Office line of shoes is slated for Friday, June 10 at 10 a.m. EDT. A total of five vivid pairs are included in the assortment, which will retail for $120 each. Get yours through the Eames Office e-commerce sites as well as the shoe brand.
The Eames Office X Reebok collection is a nod to the contributions of legendary designers
The artistry of the Eames – Charles and Ray Eames – is among the most influential styles of the 20th century, as it was part of everything from architecture to furniture design, and endured for many decades.
This year, the late and idolized designers will continue to inspire a Reebok partnership, which will soon launch five new interpretations.
The upcoming Classic Leathers range, like the March Club Cs, is primarily influenced by masterful Eames Office releases.
Items offered in The Classic Leathers footwear collection
The first colorway features a monochrome palette and artwork inspired by Eames’ 1955 “The Coloring,” a children’s toy that encourages free-form creation. The two-tone sneakers are adorned with limitless creative camouflage prints. These pairs are finished with co-branding on the tongues and Eames labeling near the eyelets. White custom insoles and gray outsoles complete the look.
The next shoe is deeply influenced by the molded plywood chair. Brown leather uppers are designed to mimic the rich brown wood grain of plywood. The darker shade of brown is used to accentuate the look of the shoes. Darker shades are used for the tongues, laces and soles. To spice things up, branding is placed on the tongue, heels and next to the eyelets.
The three-piece “Elephant Pack” from the Classic Leather Collection features a detachable elephant face that conceals the geometric patterned laces and tongues. This same set offers three distinct shades: “Poppy Red”, “Ice Grey” and “Dark Lime”. These Monotones are accented with similar branding on the heels, tongues, and near eyelets.
Earlier in March this year, the duo came together to create another shoe line, which brought together the fields of streetwear, fine art and architecture. The collection, titled “Dot Pattern and Composition Pack”, was released on March 17.
The shoe collection was decorated with dotted marks. Their dot pattern reflected the connection of Eames’ designs. A freely dispersed field was rendered in rhythm and proportion by tiny tendons, which connected the dots.
